Laos house | A tourism motorcade of automobiles crossing Indochina Friday departed southern Ho Chi Minh City on its way 2,500km through Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia.
The tour, organized by the city’s Volunteer Youth Tourism Company will run until June 15, with about 100 Vietnamese tourists in privately driven cars taking part, the company said.
The company plans to organize future tours in the dry season, designed for the younger set interested in eco-tourism and driving cars to discover regional routes.
Domestic tourism companies are trying to establish the trend as a new twist on regional tourism, seeing Southeast Asia traversing it by land.
Long-haul driving tours are only for the brave, those who like adventure and are in good health.
Currently many Vietnamese people are interested in long-haul tourism to satisfy their passion for to adventure.
